Portable Repeater

Portable Repeater

The Arkansas GMRS Repeater Group has access to several portable repeaters that can be deployed in emergencies, for special events or testing purposes. In order to maintain consistency, we will use the below pair and CTCSS for these operations.

This will be the “official” channel we will use for special events. In the case a temporary repeater has to be set up to replace a currently affiliated one, we will use the frequency and CTCSS of the affiliate. This one is for emergencies or special events outside normal operations.

Portable Repeaters will be named “Alpha, Bravo, Charlie” etc. as they are added. This denotes different repeaters in different areas as needed.
