When programming your radios, select WIDEBAND or “W” for GMRS Repeater Frequencies! GMRS is wideband at 25 KHz, so go WIDE when programming! Narrowband is for the interstitials/FRS frequencies! How can you tell? 462.650 Mhz is WIDEBAND (25 KHz) and 462.5625, a splinter frequency, is NARROWBAND (12.5 KHz). On the repeater listing, it will say WIDEBAND for all repeater frequencies. Using narrowband on wideband frequencies makes your radio sound quiet and reduces performance. GO WIDE ALL!

Email Forwards!

As a member, you can have a free “xxx@arkradio.net” email forwarding address. How it works is you are able to hand out an email address such as joe@arkradio.net and emails are forwarded to your personal email address of choice. This is great for forums or public use as you can change email addresses behind the forward address but still keep it. Plus its just cool to have an arkradio.net email address. You must keep a viable “real” email address on file with us for forwarding to work. If you need to change an email address, send us a new form and make comments on the changes. Please allow a few days for us to process the email forward request. You will receive an email at your “real” address to confirm the forward once it is complete. Emails WILL NOT forward until you do this. For more information on how forwarding works, check out this Wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_forwarding
