REPEATER INFO:

THIS SYSTEM IS CURRENTLY IN IT’S “BETA” STAGE. MODIFICATIONS WILL BE MADE AS THIS SYSTEM IS FURTHER CONSTRUCTED. THIS SYSTEM IS INTENDED TO OPERATE ON THE 462.700 FREQUENCY PAIR (141.3 CTCSS) ONCE CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE.

This listing refers to one of the nodes that make up the Central Arkansas Simulcast (CAS) 575 repeater system. This repeater system combines multiple repeaters onto one single frequency with simulcasting and uplink voting, increasing coverage and ease of use while also decreasing frequency band usage. This repeater system is linked full-time to the “Central” regional hub of the Arkansas GMRS Repeater Group Network. The repeater system is open to all licensed GMRS users. Proper call sign ID is required.

 

 

 

This repeater is linked full-time to the Arkansas GMRS Repeater Group Network. This repeater also features internet linking capabilities, live NOAA weather alerts for Garland County, a fully functioning Zello link (iPhone/Android/PC app), and more. The repeater machine is a Vertex Standard VXR-7000 running at 50 watts. It is fed through a duplexer and 1/2″ Heliax up 60′ to a DB420 antenna. The site elevation is 1,300 feet. The repeater is open to all licensed GMRS users. Proper call sign ID is required.

How to use: hold PTT, input activator key followed by code (ex. “*60”)

  • * – Activator key
  • 60 – Parrot Mode (input code, and while still holding PTT, speak – repeater will echo your transmission back to you)
  • 61 – Link status (says the nodes currently linked to this repeater)
  • 62 – WX alert tailmessage (says the current short WX alert message, if it exists)
  • 63 – WX alert details (says a detailed description of current NWS alert, if it exists)

The Zello channel is linked to the 462.575 GMRS repeater in Paron, Arkansas.

To become “trusted”, FIRST make sure there is an admin online, then transmit a voice message stating your name, callsign, and location, and ask an admin to make you a “trusted” user. Until you have been “trusted”, your messages will only be heard by admins, and will not be sent to the repeater, network, or other users.
